Purpose
RAK is committed to comply and respect individuals’ rights under Child Labor applicable laws.
The Company will not accept any form of Child Labor, or exploitation of children in any of its operations and facilities.
Scope
This policy applies to all RAK employees.
Policy Statement
RAK believes that it has the responsibility to engage in employment practices that meet the highest legal and ethical standards.
RAK ensures that its employees are legal working age for their position and complies with applicable laws.
RAK and its employees do not tolerate Child Labor of any kind through RAK’s activities.
What is Child Labor?
Child Labor means labor that deprives children of their childhood, their potential and their dignity, and that is harmful to physical or mental development. It includes work that is mentally, physically, socially and morally dangerous and harmful to children, and interferes with their schooling.
Dissemination and Implementation of Policy
The Human Resources Department
- Ensure the implementation of this policy; and
- Monitor its use and effectiveness;
- Deal with any queries about it;
- Audit internal control systems and procedures to ensure they are effective in countering child labor; and
- Take prompt and appropriate action to prevent, correct and, if necessary
Directors, Managers and Supervisors
- Remain vigilant in identifying circumstances where there is a risk that child labor might be occurring in any part of the Company's business or in any of its supply chains;
- Ensure those reporting to them comply with and understand this policy; and
- Report if they believe or suspect that a conflict with this policy has occurred, or may occur in the future.
- Avoid any activity that might lead to, or suggest, a breach of this policy.
Breaches of this Policy
RAK takes this policy very seriously and abide any Child labor employment.
